This Substack, The Missing Person, started in 2023 with a letter about Kafka, mother tongues, and war. Since then, I’ve sent many others on literature, film, politics, and dispatches from my own life on the road.
As of December 2025, I’m pausing paid subscriptions for a while to focus on longer work. But I’ll still check in with subscribers from time to time.
